Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity - Research

TO COME:  Almost everyone's life will be affected, either directly or indirectly or both, by behavioral health issues.  Unfortunately, for most people who work in areas relating to the treatment of behavioral health issues and for those people (or their family members) who require behavioral health treatment, their is a keen awareness of the lack of resources and a failing of the requirements directly mandated pursuant to Mental Health Parity laws.  People many not understand why this problem exists or even how to begin to correct some of the issues, but we feel that information and substantial data collection is the key.  We have ideas on how to move forward on this front that we hope to share and implement over time.  Correcting the underlying problems is likely the only lasting and meaningful solution.  The information we have worked so hard to understand and are working to convey are truly only bandaids being applied to a gushing, life-threatening wound requiring knowledgeable, timely, and expert surgery.
